In our last quarterly letter, we spent some time acknowledging our return to normal following well over a year of very abnormal living. Vaccination rates were high, in-person contact was resuming and the Delta variant had yet to become a part of our daily vocabulary. Between July and now, the state of Maine has seen some of its worst days of the virus, if measured by daily cases and hospitalizations. While we’re confident that we’ll overcome this virus, it’ll probably take a little longer than we thought to return to normal.
