With a passion for education and literacy, Amanda thrives when she is listening, learning, and offering guidance. “There is power in storytelling. It allows for a greater understanding and fuels my curiosity to learn more,” says Amanda. “I feel like I’ve found a team that appreciates and supports this philosophy… and our interactions with each other and clients are only stronger for it.”
- Amanda joined Great Diamond Partners in 2024 to manage office operations, partner with all team members, and ensure an exceptional experience for clients and visitors. Her responsibilities include scheduling, accounts payable, billing, and event planning.
- Amanda’s career encompasses several national and Maine-based businesses, including National Distributors, PortTIX, cPort Credit Union, Artist & Craftsman Supply and Olympia Sports. Her experience has allowed her to build invaluable skills in retail management, human resources, employee training and engagement, customer service, billing, banking, data entry, and sales.
Amanda grew up in a small rural town in New York’s capital region and attended Alfred University in the Finger Lakes region of the state.
- She moved north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to support the growth of retailer Olympia Sports and its expansion into new markets. Growth opportunities with the company brought her and her husband to Maine.
She has been very service-focused from a young age. “I used to visit the local nursing home with my grandpa every week. We’d sing to the residents, listen to their stories and drive them to appointments,” Amanda says.
- Today, she devotes her time to community-based organizations such as Maine Needs, Planned Parenthood and Reverb.
- Additionally, Amanda and her husband are avid supporters of Maine’s creative community, spending their free time at organizations such as SPACE Gallery, the Portland Museum of Art, as well as Portland Ovations.
