As CEO and Founding Partner of Great Diamond Partners, Steven Tenney is responsible for strategic growth and partnering relationships, advocating for stakeholders, and directing the firm’s investment strategy. He believes the gold standard of wealth management is found at the intersection of empathy and technology™.
It’s probably no surprise that Steve made his career in the financial world. Both his father and grandfather were respected financial advisors. What Steve learned from their examples was that the best work revolved around helping people overcome challenges – and sometimes what they needed had nothing to do with money.
Steve’s career started in London as a research assistant for Morgan Stanley Asset Management. He went on to State Street Bank and eventually to UBS Financial Services where he merged his practice with his father’s, and met Joe, Helen, and Jack. The four colleagues realized they share the belief that there is a better way to support the goals of the families and individuals in their care, which led them to establish Great Diamond Partners.
Steve is a forward-thinker who is always looking for ways to build connections and pursue opportunities on behalf of his team, his clients, and the next generation. As GDP’s champion and visionary, Steve is focused on promoting, building, and communicating the firm’s vision as well as advocating for all of its members and their successes.
Steve is also passionate about Lunch with 4 Interesting People, a Portland-based networking group that he developed and now nurtures. The group of business leaders meets monthly to discuss the challenges that go along with serving in leadership positions. One of the core purposes of Lunch with 4 Interesting People mirrors that of GDP – to encourage connections between community and opportunity.
Steve lives in Yarmouth, Maine with his wife, Christine. Their photographer son Nick lives in Bozeman, Montana, where he graduated from Montana State University. Their daughter, Leah, splits her time between Massachusetts and Florida and is pursuing a career in interior design and her passion for dressage.

As a Founding Partner and the Chief Planning Officer, Joe leads the financial planning and insurance strategies focus for Great Diamond Partners. Joe always knew he would land in a career where he could help people. He started working in New York City in municipal finance, then moved to Citibank Private Bank, expanding his experience into investment services. In 2000, he joined UBS in Portland, Maine, where over the course of the next 19 years, he acquired valuable financial planning experience while also gaining clarity about how he wanted to apply these skills to better serve his clients.
While at UBS, Joe had the opportunity to work with his future partners, Steve, Helen, and Jack. Joe’s philosophy of working with clients is to become deeply engaged with them, whether he is sitting in their living room, or speaking to them by phone, and it was important to him to work with others who feel the same way. Together, this core group of four founded Great Diamond Partners in 2019 with a shared vision of how to serve their client’s best interests above all others. Based on the founders’ common goals, a spirit of communication and collaboration is still very much a part of Great Diamond Partners today. Joe strives to create clarity and reduce anxiety for his clients as they navigate life’s challenges and reach their financial goals. He accomplishes this by listening intently and providing them with a roadmap to reach their objectives.

Helen Andreoli is the Chief Financial Officer and a Founding Partner of Great Diamond Partners.
On the leadership team, Helen connects and engages with clients as well as helps shape GDP’s vision for the future and the values they stand for. Her interest in conscious capitalism is at the center of her financial advising philosophy well as her commitment to her clients and the community.
Helen grew up on an island in mid-coast Maine and attended high school, college, and graduate school in the place she considers to be the best place to live, work, and raise a family. After graduating from college, Helen bought and ran her own small business. She operated a statewide waste and recycling hauling firm in Maine for eight years before selling the business in 1998. Helen’s own experience of running a family business enriches her work with business owners, families, as well as investment clients, and adds both a unique perspective and deep insight. Helen’s ability to build relationships shows in her everyday interactions with clients – one of her goals is to make their day a little better after having spoken with her.
After selling her business, Helen went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Business and began a career in wealth management. Over the next 22 years, she gained valuable knowledge and experience at several global wealth management firms as well as the opportunity to work with future partners Steve, Joe, and Jack. In 2019, Helen was looking for a better, more personal way to provide financial advising services to clients as well as to channel her expertise and passion into building something new, local, and independent. At this time, Helen, along with Steve, Joe, and Jack, began building what is now GDP. From that point on, Helen became an integral part of the GDP leadership team, leading with compassion and helping to define who they are today.
Helen lives in Portland with her husband, Charlie Tryder, and two dogs, Buddy, a Dogue de Bordeaux, and Buster, a Labrador Retriever. She has three grown children – Wyatt, a graduate of Arizona State, who is also a member of the GDP team, Blaine, a graduate of the University of Vermont, who works at a Maine-based technology company, and Sydney, also a graduate of the University of Vermont, who has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and works as a family counselor in Falmouth.

As a Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager at Great Diamond team, Jack plays an active role with individuals and families, helping them craft plans to reach their financial goals, while also contributing to the firm’s overall vision and strategy. As a Portfolio Manager, Jack works with the investment team to develop and manage client portfolios. Jack sees his role both as a trusted confidante and an advocate for his clients as they navigate some of the biggest moments of their lives. Jack’s philosophy of working with clients is one centered around a foundation of trust and keen listening. Jack wants his clients to feel that they can approach him with any issue and that he will be there to help and advise them.
A lifelong resident of Maine, Jack attended Falmouth High School and Bowdoin College. Jack remembers that he always had an interest in capital markets but didn’t think about a career in wealth management until he had the opportunity to work as an intern with his current partners, Steve and Joe. Jack learned by example from watching Joe, Steve, and other talented mentors as they interacted with their clients with genuine care and understanding.
After graduating from college, Jack worked at Bainco International Investors in Boston, working his way up through a variety of positions including portfolio strategist. He then worked as a financial advisor at UBS Wealth Management alongside Steve, Joe, and Helen.
Jack wanted to create something new from scratch that represented his values and those of the other members of the GDP leadership team – a strong commitment to clients and the community, as well as a client-centered approach to financial planning. He combines his excellent listening skills with his extensive experience to make clients feel heard and cared for.
Jack lives in Falmouth with his wife, Becky, and daughter, Beatrice.

Having lived in Maine his whole life, Wyatt grew up observing his mother’s work in the financial planning industry and has been inspired by her 20-year career. Ever since attending Arizona State University, he knew he wanted to follow a similar path. Wyatt built six years of industry experience working in Boston, Massachusetts, but his love of Maine and the desire to be closer to family brought him “home.” He joined Great Diamond Partners in 2021.
Financial planning combines two aspects of work Wyatt enjoys most – people and planning. He appreciates getting to know his clients and the long-term relationships that develop with them over time. He also enjoys the planning aspects of his role as Associate Advisor, such as finding creative and unique solutions for clients’ challenges. Since joining GDP, Wyatt has taken a strong interest in working with Next Gen clients and has become a rising expert in sustainable and impact investing. He shares this knowledge and experience with his clients as well as the rest of his team.
In addition to working with clients, Wyatt leads the data and technology efforts at the firm creating centralized planning practices and to support business development efforts. He is also pursuing certification as a Certified Financial Planner and plans to sit for the exam shortly.
In his free time, Wyatt enjoys playing and coaching soccer, spending time with his family, or hiking in the White Mountains.

Bevin has over 8 years of management experience in the hospitality industry. While at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, Maine she led all front office operations and team members, and served as a liaison to all departments, vendors, and guests.
Originally from the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, Bevin chose to attend Maine College of Art in Portland, imagining a quintessential New England coastal town. Upon arrival, she was surprised to find a working port city, and soon fell in love with the walkability, community, and cultural offerings. She now calls Portland home and lives with her husband Dan and their two cats: Marge, a fluffy white and orange longhair, and Hendrix, a tuxedo shorthair with a mustache.
Outside of the office, Bevin loves discovering all Maine has to offer – from snowshoeing in Rangeley to staying in a converted sardine factory in Lubec to taking the Great Diamond Island ferry and enjoying build-your-own shaved ice at the Crown Jewel. Her love of adventure extends beyond our borders, with dreams to one day explore Ireland and to celebrate a postponed honeymoon in Belize.

Andrew brings over ten years of financial industry experience to the team, working at UBS Financial Services in Newtown, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Portland, Maine before supporting the launch of Great Diamond Partners in 2019. Prior to his career in financial services, Andrew developed valuable client service skills in his management role with Brooks Brothers.
Andrew is from rural Berks County, Pennsylvania and spent many childhood summers visiting his grandparents and family in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, right on the Mason-Dixon line. As an adult working in Philadelphia, Andrew quickly realized that the ‘big city’ wasn’t a great fit for him and he strived to land somewhere that felt more like home. With its breathtaking scenery, rugged coastlines and serene lakes, Maine felt like the perfect spot.
Andrew now resides in Gray with his wife, Meg, and his two cats, Penny and Eliza, and his dog, Gertie. He spends many weekends renovating and restoring his 19th century farmhouse and barn. In the summer, he tends to a small vegetable patch and pretends he is a farmer. Andrew is a die-hard Philadelphia Flyers fan and would love to play in an adult hockey league if he could just improve his skating skills.

A seasoned expert in the financial services industry, Lisa brings over 30 years of experience in operations and client services at Key Trust Company, Kidder Peabody, Paine Webber, UBS Financial Services and Aries Wealth Management in Portland, Maine.
Lisa has a large family with French-Canadian roots. She now lives in Westbrook and regularly spends time with her three sisters, one brother, ten nieces/nephews and four great-nieces/nephews.
Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys photography; reading popular fiction, psychological thrillers and biographies; and teaching the next generation traditional recipes passed down through her family (she makes the BEST pork pie). Pine Point Beach off-season is a favorite spot to find solitude and she is rarely seen without Baxter, her 6 yr-old terrier mix who she affectionately calls “the love of my life and the bane of my existence.”
Before taking on the Executive Assistant role at Great Diamond Partners, Nicole worked in hospitality, member development, and marketing. She most recently served as the HR coordinator for a local human service agency.
I grew up in Ocala in Central Florida and I moved here when I was in High School. Nicole now lives in Windham with her husband, four-year-old daughter, and two cats. Outside of the office, Nicole and her family enjoy going to local parks, playgrounds, and arcades. Most weekends, you can find Nicole at a local craft brewery or venturing out to explore the shops in downtown Portland.
When asked about her new role, Nicole said, “Working in many different industries since I was 18, I never expected to move into finance/wealth management but I’m learning so much; I’ve also never worked in an environment where everyone, clients and staff included, are so genuinely kind!”
