Our Commitment to Community Giving

Aug 09, 2022

At Great Diamond Partners, our commitment to serving the community is as important to us as it is to our clients. Our focus on meaningful giving is both a reflection of our values and the services we provide. Each Advisor on the Great Diamond team is actively involved with community organizations by volunteering our time as well as offering financial support. Here are some of the many organizations our team supports:

Steve Tenney, Founding Partner & CEO

Steve maintains a position on the Investment Committee for the Castine (Maine) Historical Society. The historical society highlights the unique and rich history of a town that has flown the flags of four different nations since the 17th century. Steve is proud of the fact that he can use his knowledge and years of expertise to strengthen and give back to a town and community that he has been a part of since birth and remains an important fixture in his life today.

Joe Powers, Founding Partner & Chief Planning Officer

Joe is completing his 7th year on the board of directors at the Catholic Foundation of Maine, the past 2 years serving as Board Chair. The Catholic Foundation of Maine provides opportunities for people to charitably invest for the long term. Through the Foundation, people can support and create charitable funds that will enhance the work of the Catholic Church in Maine, as well as its ministries and people, and fulfill needs in ways that otherwise would go unmet.

Joe is also Chair of the past president’s council of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine. His life was forever changed when he became a “Big Brother” 20 years ago and he has remained closely involved in this critical mentoring organization ever since.

Helen Andreoli, Founding Partner, President & Chief Financial Officer

Helen is a board member and Chair of the Program Committee for Prosperity ME and a board member and Treasurer for Maine Recovery Fund (MERF). She loves organizations that support people who truly want to move forward and rebuild their lives and helps by teaching them the tools that will help them to do so. In her words, “Both of these organizations focus on helping people find their second chance – which everybody deserves. An overwhelming number of people are limited by circumstance (and sometimes bad choices) but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the opportunity to thrive.”

Jack Piper, Founding Partner & Portfolio Manager

Jack is incredibly passionate about his support for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and the work that they do. As an avid golfer, there is no better way for Jack to combine his passions than through his participation on the committee that helps run the BBCH Open. He is proud of the fact that he is involved with Maine’s largest charitable golf tournament, with all proceeds from the tournament benefiting the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center – Maine’s only full-service children’s hospital.

Wyatt Andreoli, Associate Advisor

A passionate soccer fan and player, Wyatt has a focus on coaching and supporting youth soccer programs. He is a firm believer in the benefits that athletics and being part of a team can provide to kids, and says “I was lucky to always have the opportunity to play sports growing up, an opportunity that not all kids get to have. It means a lot to be able to give back through the sport that has given me so much.”

Wyatt recently began running soccer clinics at Camp Susan Curtis. The camp, located in Stoneham, operates with a mission to “provide a transformative camp experience that nurtures self-confidence and a sense of belonging in Maine children facing economic hardship.”
