As a history major in college, I’ve always had an appreciation for past experiences. Mark Twain is attributed to saying, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme,” which is something that can be applied to capital markets: No bull or bear market is exactly the same but they usually share similar characteristics to those in the past. Today we’re faced with multiple questions and challenges that make the investing climate quite treacherous.
